DONATION A TRAY, FEED A COMMUNITY

There is an incredible number of people still going hungry in South Africa. We prepare 180 seedling trays every month for our community garden partners across Cape Town. Please help us feed our vulnerable communities by buying donation seedling trays and by spreading the word to your friends, family, and network.

We have links with several networks supporting home food gardening in the less well-off suburbs of Cape Town.  Through these networks we have established a need for seedlings, particularly crucial at this time.  Some of these are for community gardens looking to grow winter crops to feed their members, some will be sold at affordable rates to home growers through ourselves and our partners.

Read about seedling trays already donated under lockdown.

You can sponsor as many trays as you like, and because SEED is a registered Public Benefit Organisation, we can issue Section 18A tax credits for all donations of R500 and over.

You can choose a beneficiary project from the list above, or leave it to us to make the decision based on our assessment of the need.  We will update you on where & when your trays are distributed, hopefully with an image.

Easy Peasy is a project of SEED which is growing a culture of home gardening in Cape Town, growing good local jobs in Mitchell's Plain while helping you to garden like a champion.
